STUDY OF PROCESS PARAMETERS ANODE-ABRASIVE POLISHING OF SMALL CROSS SECTION CHANNELS

The development of precision engineering, instrumentation, and microwave power transmission lines places high demands on the quality of the processed surface of small-section channels, and requires the development and application of finishing technologies. A promising technology is the method of anodic-abrasive polishing (AAP). Anodic-abrasive polishing is a combined process of active anodic dissolution of micronerities in the passive state of depressions, which is provided by the use of a passivating electrolyte with simultaneous removal of the passivating film from the scallops of micronerities by an abrasive-bearing elastic cathode-tool. The influence of the parameters of the anodic-abrasive process on the output characteristics of the AAP is considered. A model and schematic diagram of an installation for anodic-abrasive polishing of small-section channels is proposed. Expressions are obtained for calculating the roughness of the treated surface from the modes of anodic dissolution and the abrasive action of an elastic abrasive-bearing cathode-tool at AAP. Studies of AAP processing of samples made of 32nkd alloy were carried out, which confirmed the possibility of reducing the roughness of the processed surface to Ra 0.08-0.04 microns with a minimum remote allowance of 0.2-0.03 mm, ensuring high uniformity of the micro profile.
