ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PROBLEM OF SECONDARY ORPHANHOOD BASED ON THE ANALYSIS OF MODERN HUMANITARIAN KNOLEDGE

Secondary orphanhood is a refusal of guardianship, adoption and foster family. And cases of foster parents and adoptive parents returning their adopted children are not rare nowadays. This scientific problem is of a meta-subject nature, is actively considered in domestic and foreign philosophical, psychological, pedagogical, clinical and sociological research. The authors analyze the problem of secondary orphanhood in order to develop an integrated approach to the prevention of this phenomenon. The author’s definition of secondary orphanhood is presented. The characteristics of the phenomenon of secondary orphanhood are described based on the analysis and interpretation of modern humanitarian knowledge and empirical data. The article substantiates that secondary orphanhood acts as a social and psychological phenomenon that characterizes the social status, lifestyle, worldview of a child who has experienced two or more cases of deprivation of parental care, as a socially dangerous situation of growing up a child with victimogenic potential. An orphan child, repeatedly or repeatedly left without parental care, is characterized by the experience of derivational changes, the formation of a victim complex. Such a child is usually characterized by impaired emotional, cognitive, social and personal development. It is noted that a foster family is a priority form of placing orphans and children left without parental care. This is a form of family placement of children who have experienced secondary orphanhood, which allows partially or completely to replace or replenish parental care, and, if necessary, effectively compensate for deprivation changes.
