Topical issues of the formation and functioning of psychological mechanisms, moral and value orientations are actively discussed today in foreign and domestic psychological literature. Currently, there are two different points of view on the psychological foundations of moral functioning: approaches that enumerate the qualities of the moral personality and the components of the moral sphere.The relevance of the study of socio-psychological attitudes, the interactive orientation of the personality, empathy, value orientations, reflexivity, the general emotional orientation of students of the psychological and pedagogical direction, is due to the importance of the formation of moral and ethical orientations of students, contributing to the future successful professional activity.The article analyzes the main problems of the formation of the ethical component of professional activity in the process of teaching students. The most effective methods of assimilation and acceptance by students of ethical norms affecting the process of implementation of ethical codes and rules in the process of professional activity are considered. The problem is posed of studying the development of ethical norms and values, principles among students of the psychological and pedagogical direction at the Department of Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education, TI (f) FGAOU PO «North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov», Neryungri RS (Y). The materials of the article are of practical value for university teachers, practical psychologists, students of psychological and pedagogical specialties, administrations of educational institutions, specialists of resource centers.
